Top Geolocation Games on Android in Kenya: Q3 2024 Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, the geolocation gaming market on the Android platform in Kenya showcased intriguing trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five games.

Pokémon GO, developed by Niantic, Inc., experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, with a significant peak at $46 in mid-July. The app's weekly downloads saw a notable rise in early September, hitting almost 900, while active users also surged around the same time, reaching over 6.7K.

COIN: Always Be Earning from XY Labs, Inc. had steady weekly downloads early in the quarter, peaking at 148. However, downloads dropped to zero by the end of September. The app maintained a relatively stable number of active users, starting at just over 1K and tapering to around 660 by quarter's end.

Monster Hunter Now, another Niantic, Inc. title, recorded downloads of over 100 in late July and early August. Active users saw a gradual decline from 234 in early August to about 147 by the end of September.

STEPN, developed by STEPN, had minimal downloads, with a peak of 16 in late August. Active user numbers were low, with a brief appearance of 20 users in mid-July and a slight resurgence of 10 users in mid-August.

Finally, Landlord Go - Real Estate Game by Reality Games LTD showed sporadic download activity, with a few instances of single-digit downloads throughout the quarter. Active users peaked at 29 in early August but generally remained low.
